Start near your actual arrival point
From Langelinie, the Little Mermaid is a straightforward first landmark. From any other berth, do not assume you are already nearby.
Walk towards Amalienborg
The waterfront and palace area give you a strong view of Copenhagen without an indoor queue or fixed admission time. Stop briefly and keep an eye on the clock.
Add Nyhavn only with a comfortable margin
Nyhavn is a good final highlight, but it pulls you farther from Langelinie. If the return journey would feel rushed, finish at Amalienborg instead.
What to leave out
Skip long museum visits, distant shopping stops, and a sit-down meal when the sightseeing window is only two hours. A shorter route that ends calmly is a better cruise day than a longer route that depends on everything running perfectly.
