Before you leave for the terminal

Check the actual embarkation berth

“Copenhagen cruise port” is not a single address. Look for Oceankaj, Langelinie, Nordre Toldbod, or a specific quay in your cruise documents. If it is unclear, ask the cruise line before ordering a taxi or setting a journey planner destination.

Keep the boarding window with your travel plan

The ship's arrival time and your own check-in window are different things. Plan to reach the terminal according to the instructions for your booking, not a generic port guide estimate.

Choose the transfer for your luggage and margin

Public transport can work well with manageable bags and time for connections. A taxi removes changes and may be the easier choice after a long flight or with heavy luggage. If your ship boards at Oceankaj, read the airport to Oceankaj route.

If you arrive by air

Copenhagen Airport's Metro station is beside Terminal 3. Allow time to leave the aircraft, collect luggage, and reach the station or taxi pickup. For Oceankaj, the public transport journey includes changes; the final bus or shuttle depends on service for the day. Check a live journey planner before boarding.

Sign marking the taxi exit at Copenhagen Airport

Taxi exit wayfinding at Copenhagen Airport, taken in September 2026. Confirm whether your ship boards at Oceankaj, Langelinie, or Nordre Toldbod before setting a taxi destination.

If you have time in Copenhagen first

A city stop before boarding only works when luggage storage, transport back to the terminal, and your boarding window are settled. Leave sightseeing out of a tight transfer. Once you are safely embarked, use the tour app for a future call or a later day ashore.

Sources and checks
